Mouna Sadli

Mouna Sadli was born in Tetouan in northern Morocco where she grew up in an environment of great artistic and cultural sensibility. Since her early childhood she saw her mother paint. Thereafter, at school, she had the opportunity to take multiple courses in drawing and painting with experienced painters from the School of Tetouan. After obtaining her high school diploma she hesitated between her two passions: mathematics and painting. The choice of the reason led her to the preparatory classes for engineers and eventually obtained a doctorate and post- doctorate in mathematics that she prepared in France, Switzerland and Holland. Meanwhile, she never forsaken the choice of her heart, that of painting. She followed several technical training independently and attended workshops with other artists. In particular, she practiced oil painting techniques with Said Qodeid for many years, and also worked with Mohammed Jaamati for improvements in watercolor. Finally she has been trained in various engraving techniques with Hector Saunier and David Del Almeida.
Mouna's latest work depicts Moroccan modern cityscapes and street scenes. Her range of pastel and broken colors and her vibrant brush strokes create a poetic atmosphere that tells a story while preserving its mystery.
Mouna has recently completed a bachelor degree in Art History in France.
